When I watched this incredibly powerful inspirational true story on video, it reminded me of some of my own challenges and the things I learned along the way that helped me to rebound when I had all the reasons to just give up.
Derek Redmond was favored to metal in the Olympic 400 meter sprint when he experienced a catastrophic injury but what happened next brought crowds to their feet in overwhelming support. This video reminded me how important it is to keep going and believe in yourself. It also helps when we are surrounded by people who care and show their support even when things don’t work out so well.
